Getting Ready to Rumble

Today was quite the adventure. I started out the day waiting in line at REI at 9:00 for them to open for their used gear sale with Phil. All the gear was at minimum 50% percent off so that was sweet. When I first pulled into the parking lot an hour before opening there wasn't a single person in site so I thought that REI had tricked me but luckily I drove around back where I saw a line of about 50 REIers spanning the side of the building. It was cold and drizzling but I waited it out with Phil. We were both looking for a new backpack to take with us and saw a table full of them which we pounced on. Once 10:00 rolled around people went crazy grabbing everything in site. Luckily Phil and I made it to the backpack table and sorted thru it finding exactly what we wanted. Shiny new backpacks :)

So now I am beginning to acquire attire for Cambodia's humid weather. I have been told that we will be working all day in uncovered areas so I need to protect my fair skin with longsleeved light clothing. Luckily I found two shirts 60% off at Eddie Bauer which have mesh insides and vents... pretty sweet.

I also just completed a 20 day cleanse to boost my immune system before going abroud. I ended it just in time for my B-day celebration in the city! I haven't been able to eat dairy, wheat, red meat, or have any sort of alcohol so it should be a phenomenal night! I'm very very excited:)
